BEFORE WE BEGIN

A little more clarity.

Every engagement is personal.
These are useful starting points.

Can I arrange support for myself?

Yes. Private Client and CHC support are available to individuals arranging their own care, as well as families and authorised representatives. You can choose a single service or an agreed combination. The Family Care Office is a separate service for households requiring one lead contact across several care needs.

How are fees agreed?

We provide a tailored proposal after an initial conversation. This sets out the work, fees, any agreed expenses and communication arrangements. A defined project and an ongoing care-office relationship require different levels of support.

Can you help when relatives live abroad?

Yes. We can act as an agreed UK-based care contact and coordinate communication with relatives overseas. In-person attendance, locations and availability are confirmed before an engagement begins.

Do you provide medical treatment or emergency care?

The services described here focus on care navigation, coordination and advocacy. Clinical treatment remains with the treating professionals. We do not provide an emergency medical service or promise 24-hour availability. In an emergency, call 999; for urgent medical advice in England, use NHS 111.

What does Student Health representation include?

We coordinate agreed health matters, accompany appointments where arranged and liaise with authorised people. This service does not itself confer parental responsibility or automatic authority to consent to treatment. The pupil’s capacity, consent and confidentiality rights remain central. It complements the school and educational guardian rather than replacing them.

Is CHC support relevant to privately funded care?

Yes. NHS Continuing Healthcare eligibility in England depends on assessed health needs, rather than wealth or a specific diagnosis. The NHS makes the eligibility decision; our role is to support preparation, understanding and advocacy.
